Best Things to Do in Naples This Weekend

If you search for things to do Naples every Friday, the hard part isn't finding plans. It's choosing the ones that feel worth your time.

This weekend, April 18 to 20, Naples has a solid mix of live music, theater, art, food, and waterfront downtime. Whether you're here for a short stay or you live nearby and want a better plan than "we'll figure it out later," these picks make the weekend easier to build.

Start with the events that have set times, then leave room for the beach and a slower Sunday.

Saturday is packed, so pick your lane early

Saturday has the busiest lineup, and it starts early. If you like an active morning, the Naples Half Marathon & 5K kicks off at North Collier Regional Park at 6:30 a.m. That works well for locals who want to earn a lazy afternoon, and it also gives visitors a scenic way to start the day before the heat settles in.

A slower morning still has plenty going for it. Naples Artcrafters is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., which makes it a good stop for handmade gifts, local art, and a casual downtown stroll. If you're in the mood for something more polished, Afternoon Tea at The Ritz-Carlton is listed from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It has that special-occasion feel, even if the occasion is simply having a free Saturday.

Live theater also makes a strong case this weekend. "Titanic The Musical" is scheduled for Saturday performances, including an afternoon show and an evening show. That's a good pick when you want something memorable but don't want another outdoor plan.

By late afternoon, the city shifts gears. The Franklin US Open Pickleball Championships brings crowd energy and high-level play, while A Slice of Naples Food Tour runs in the evening with pizza stops and local stories. For visitors, it's a smart way to see more of the city without overplanning dinner. For residents, it's a reminder that Naples still has corners worth revisiting.

Saturday night belongs to Country Jam Naples , set for Paradise Coast Sports Complex starting at 3 p.m. If you want one headline event, this is it. Before heading out, check the Visit Naples events calendar for ticket status and last-minute updates.

Many Naples weekend events are timed and ticketed, so it's smart to confirm before you leave.

Sunday works better when you slow the pace

After a full Saturday, Sunday in Naples feels best when you leave some open space in the day. Artis-Naples is one of the easiest ways to do that. Ongoing exhibits this weekend include "Stories in Glass and Ceramics," works by Linling Lu, and "Florida Contemporary." If the sun feels strong by midday, a museum stop is a welcome reset.

Theater fans can also catch the Sunday matinee of "Titanic The Musical" at 2 p.m. That time slot works nicely because you can still do brunch, spend a little time near the water, and make it to the show without rushing. Naples is at its best when the day doesn't feel overbooked.

For a waterfront plan, sightseeing cruises on the Naples Princess are running through the day from Port O Call Way. This is one of the best middle-ground outings in town. Visitors get bay and Gulf views, locals can bring out-of-town guests without much effort, and everyone gets a break from traffic. It also fits almost any pace. You can dress it up or keep it simple.

If you want a classic Naples finish, head toward the beach near Naples Pier for sunset. You don't need a full evening agenda after that. A walk, a quiet dinner, and maybe a drink nearby is plenty. If your first-choice plan sells out or weather changes, the Paradise Coast events page is a useful backup.

Family-friendly picks and an easier way to protect your weekend

Naples Zoo is one of the best all-weekend options, especially for families. The new South American Trail adds a fresh reason to go, even if you've been before. It works for visitors with kids, grandparents in town, or locals who want something that feels active without becoming a full-day project.

The zoo also helps when your weekend group can't agree on much. Kids stay engaged, adults get shade and walking paths, and you can still keep the rest of the day open for lunch, beach time, or a nap before dinner. That flexibility matters in Naples, where the best plan is often the one that leaves room to breathe.

There's another piece of weekend planning people forget about, errands. A good Naples day can shrink fast when you have to stop for groceries, pick up takeout, run to the pharmacy, or deal with an airport drop-off. For a practical VIP-style shortcut, 1st Class Delivery offers time-saving courier services that cover food pickup, personal shopping, grocery runs, and airport transportation. That means more time on the beach, at the zoo, or at dinner, and less time circling parking lots.

This is especially helpful if you're staying in a vacation rental or hosting friends. One forgotten item can cost an hour. If you want to price the convenience before deciding, you can view current delivery fees. Sometimes the best weekend move is handing off the driving.

The best Naples weekends don't come from doing everything. They come from picking one or two standout plans, then protecting the hours around them.

This weekend, that might mean a race or Country Jam on Saturday, art or a cruise on Sunday, and one less errand on your list. In Naples, free time is often the part you'll remember most.

In November 2024, Matt saw an ugly Facebook post bashing our local homeless community. Matt used to be homeless himself in 2009 and 2010, after he moved to Alaska from Florida during the housing crash. Because of the kindness and compassion he received from total strangers, Matt was able to get back on his feet. That support helped him become the business owner we know today, the Matt behind 1st Class Delivery. After seeing that post, Matt put a plan into action. The very next day, he went on Facebook and started asking for donations. He asked for shampoo, lotion, and any unopened personal care items people had sitting around. He also began collecting donations to buy knapsacks. 1st Class Delivery added funds of its own to purchase more items. Each “assistance bag” included water bottles, toothpaste and a toothbrush, shampoo and conditioner, body wash, and more. Just a few basics to help people who are really down on their luck and trying to get by. Thanks to the community’s help and support, we put together nearly 100 bags for people in need. These bags were donated and distributed through the Cape Coral Police Department and FK Your Diet in Fort Myers, Florida.
